Description

ENTRENCHMENT & MOUND SAID TO HAVE BEEN BUILT AROUND HILLESDEN HOUSE DURING CIVIL WAR SIEGE,1643-4 (B2-3).
TRACES OF ENTRENCHMENT SAID TO BE VISIBLE IN FIELD SW OF CHURCH; NOT SEEN ON FIELD VISIT 1972, WHEN FIELD WAS PLOUGHED (B7).
NGR TO SITE OF HOUSE (B5).
