Description

Remains of C15 Deyncourt family manor house, now outbuildings & 4 cottages. C15 doorway & window in 1 cottage, C15 timber roof & C16 oriel in outbuilding, which includes hall with trussed roof of 4 bays. (Full description) (B3-4).
All pulled down 1931. Some roof timbers in Buckinghamshire County Museum (B5-6).
Reassessment of buildings as early 14th century base cruck hall with 2 storey parlour wing at right angles to hall, and a late 15th century scissor braced lodgings range. By the the late 16th century an upper floor had been inserted into the hall and the lodgings range was apparently in use as farm buildings (B8-9).
