NOT IN DOMESDAY-PROBABLY INCLUDED IN HADDENHAM. APPEARS 1ST IN GRANT TO PRIORY OF ST ANDREW, ROCHESTER. SEEMS TO HAVE PASSED TO TYRINGHAMS OF LOWER WINCHENDON. HOLYMAN FAMILY ALSO HELD LANDS IN CUDDINGTON. HISTORY OF MANOR GENERALLY SEEMS RATHER OBSCURE (B2).

Tyringham Hall is a small stone-built house, probably built in 1609, a date on the lintel of the staircase. The plan consists of a rectangular block with a West wing which formerly projected to the North and South, but which now only projects to the South, and a single-storeyed East wing with attic which projects towards the North. The West wing and central block are two-storeyed with an attic, part of the attic formerly being used as a dovecot (B3).
