Description
Plan Form - Curved.
Decoy had 4 pipes (curved, closed channels for trapping ducks). All but western one now restored. Each is c.50yds long, 18in deep & narrows from c.12ft at its mouth to 1ft at end (B4,B7).
Remains of old E pipe, silted up by 1852. 2 former W pipes traceable as earthworks. National Trust survey (B9).
The 'home pipe' and one other pipe were restored in 1986 [photographs] (B10).
