2 HAND AXES, VERY ROLLED, SLIGHTLY STAINED, PATINATED. ONE IS BROKEN POINTED. FOUND BY MR L.TREACHER AT EGYPT PIT, LOCATION UNKNOWN, BUT PRESUMABLY NEAR VILLAGE OF EGYPT. TREACHER RECORDS 150-200CM OF CLAYEY GRAVEL VERY EVENLY BEDDED. (BI1)

(SU 958858) Two Palaeolithic hand axes from Egypt Pit, Burnham are in Oxford University Museum (B4).
The exact location of this gravel-pit is not known but it was presumably near the village of Egypt (c SU 957858) (B1).
