Summary

A small, narrow Bronze Age bronze palstave now in the Buckinghamshire County Museum, Aylesbury (accession number 86/24), but formerly owned by the late R S Downs, was found slightly north of the Bird in Hand, between High Wycombe and West Wycombe at about the 400 foot contour line.

FOUND AT NGR (B4).
A 'CHISEL PALSTAVE' (DESCRIPTION & ILLUS). ONLY OTHER BUCKS EXAMPLE FROM IVINGHOE (B5).

A small, narrow bronze palstave with no loop now in the Bucks County Museum No 86/24, but formerly owned by the late R S Downs, was found slightly north of the Bird in Hand, between High Wycombe and West Wycombe at about the 400 ft contour line. (B2)
