Description
Grade II. House, formerly for gardener. Late C19. Red brick to ground floor, upper storey rendered and whitewashed with ornamental half-timbering. Half-hipped roof with patterned tiling, brick chimneys with off-set heads and 'V' pilasters. Picturesque L-plan building. 2 storeys, 2 bays to front, the right bay projecting. 3 -light transomed wooden casements, the ground floor left window with gauged head and Tudor hoodmould. Right bay has upper storey slightly jettied on small moulded brackets, and has 2-storey bay window, canted to ground floor, rectangular to first floor. Porch set diagonally across angle between bays has gable with carved bargeboards on tapering wooden Mannerist piers with drapes, tassels and volute capitals. Half-glazed door. C20 brick porch and original single-storey brick wing with carved bargeboards to gable are set back to right. Included for group value (B5).
