Sheahan describes the incident thus: 'At Arnsgrove Firs, a short distance from the last named farmhouse (Arnsgove Farm), but on the opposite side of the road, as some men were digging material for road mending in 1850, they discovered three human skeletons, and a light green colour glass bottle of globular form, measuring 15 inches in height, 28 inches in circumferance and of great thickness. Unfortunately one of the workmen struck the bottle with a pick axe, and broke it into pieces. On this spot a stone celt was found at the same time.' (B1).
