WHITE PATINATION. SOME CORTEX REMAINING ON BUTT. FINISHED WITH SOFT HAMMER TECHNIQUE. POINT BROKEN SHORTLY AFTER DISCOVERY. FOUND BY MR ANDREW RAMAGE. PHOTOGRAPHS (B1). FLINT FOUND IN DUMPED MATERIAL, DERIVATION UNKNOWN (B2).
Site mentioned in English Rivers Palaeolithic Survey, found on gravel track, possibly an import (B4-5)
"Seer Green- SU 96749180. An Acheulian hand axe was found by Mr A Ramage of Seer Green in c 1964, but in possibly derived material dumped on a trackway(B7). On loan to Bucks County Museum (Acc No L169) (B6)
The findspot of the handaxe was verified on the OS 6" by Mr A Ramage, who stated that it was found in dumped material derivation unknown (B8).
