Description

SITE OF LAST GIBBET ERECTED IN BUCKS.1773 CORBET FOUND GUILTY OF MURDERING RICHARD HOLT. GIBBET ERECTED 17 CHAINS FROM THE HOUSE OF THE MURDER, FIELD CALLED CORBET'S PIECE & LANE FACING W BOUNDARY OF FIELD CALLED GIB LANE. IRONS EVENTUALLY ROTTED AWAY & REMAINDER OF POST USED AS GATE POST (B1).
