Description

Grade II. Garden walls. C17-early C19, incorporating older materials. Flint and brick, part with narrow brick dressings. Most with varying brick copings; walls to S. of house with moulded stone coping probably re-used from older house. Walls surround incompletely a large garden to E. of Bockmer house, and smaller gardens to S. One S. garden has blocked opening with 4-centred chamfered arch. Stone steps to mounting block at end of wall to S.W. of house. Low retaining wall to S.E. also included. These walls probably represent part of the plan and large forecourt of a previous Bockmer House (B1).
