Description

OLD MANOR HOUSE OF HARLEYFORD HAD A CHAPEL BELONGING TO IT - 'TUCKER BOLD HAD A GRANT FROM JOHN, BISHOP OF LINCOLN, 1542, TO ALLOW A PRIEST TO OFFICIATE WITHIN HIS CHAPEL AT HARLEYTHORPE ON ACCOUNT OF DISTANCE FROM PARISH CHURCH' (B3).
CHAPEL USED UNTIL WHOLE HOUSE PULLED DOWN IN 1755 (B2).
