Description

2 PITS PRODUCED STRUCTURAL DAUB, GENERALLY SOFT & LOW-FIRED. MOST HAD WATTLE IMPRESSIONS, SO DERIVED FROM STANDING STRUCTURES WITHIN THE HILLFORT. THE OUTER, PITTED SURFACES OF THE DAUB SHOW SIGNS OF WEATHERING, IMPLYING IT WAS PARTLY EXPOSED (SEE CATALOGUE & DISCUSSION)(B16).
