C2 & C3 SHERDS, ROOF & FLOOR TILE (ALSO QUERN FRAGMENTS & BUILDING STONE) FROM RECTANGULAR AREA, IN PLOUGH SOIL, 0.8HA IN EXTENT. TOPSOIL VERY BLACK; WHEN VISITED 1973 WAS LITTERED WITH BUILDING STONE & TILE BROUGHT UP BY DEEP PLOUGH. SITE NEAR SMALL COPSE ON RIDGE NEAR BRIDLEPATH TO NEWTON LONGVILLE (B1).
