Description
A Primitive Methodist chapel was built in 1844 in Prebend End. This was a brick building, and cost £200 (B1).
'Methodist Chapel (Primitive) seats for 100' marked on 1879 OS 12-inch county town plan and on 1st edition 25-inch OS map. Marked as 'Reading Room' on 1900 2nd edition 25-inch OS map. Building shown but not marked on 1923 25-inch OS map; presumably had been converted to a house sometime between 1900 and 1923 (B2).
