Description
Puddefats is a totally vanished house, isolated, and on the extreme edge of the township (of Coleshill). It had been held by Osbert Puddefat and his son Peter at the end of the thirteenth century. The house had three heated rooms. In the seventeenth century it was held on a long - evidently very long - lease by the Child family, and may have been the land that William Child senior leased from Sir Francis Cheyne.
