Description

Waterside Theatre was built in 2007-2010 to designs by a team of architects led by Norman Bragg of RHWL. The theatre opened on 12th October 2010, with an auditorium seating 1,200 or 1,800 standing. A second smaller performance space seats 220. The design of the building reflects the local landscape of the Chiltern hills and woodlands, with an undulating concrete base and the glass façade supported by 106 larch 'glulam' beams. Decorative timber panels and colums feature inside (B1).
