Description
ALLEGED SITE OF BATTLE BETWEEN CERDIC THE SAXON AND THE BRITONS. NO LOCAL KNOWLEDGE OF A BATTLE SITE (B1).

Chearsley (SP 7110) has been thought to be identical with 'Cerdicesleah', at which Cerdic and Cynric fought with the Britons in 527 (B2 and B3).
