Description

Watching brief by John Moore Heritage Services during creation of two wildlife ponds in April 2026 identified a shallow hollow at least 8.2m X 5.3m and 0.24m deep in the top of the natural clay which had been backfilled with midden material including pottery, daub, animal bone and fossil shells probably in the 12th century.
