Description
WALL: LAY AT N END OF TRENCH 5. NOT OBSERVED IN PLAN BUT SUBSEQUENTLY RECORDED IN THE E SECTION. WALL HAD BEEN CONSTRUCTED ON THE NATURAL GRAVEL SURFACE & SURVIVED AS 2 COURSES OF FERRUGINOUS SANDSTONE SLABS, UP TO 0.26M LONG, WITH A SINGLE LARGER SQUARED BLOCK FORMING S EDGE. At the southern end of the trench a ditch running NW-SE cut an area of gravel cobbles (4, 5).
