Description

Historic building recording carried out by Archaeological Building Recording Services in October 2019 in advance of demolition and residential conversion of timber-framed outbuildings concluded that the buildings originated as farm buildings and remained in use as a dairy into the 20th century. The east-west range is the earliest building and may possibly have been built in the mid-18th century, although there is considerable evidence of rebuilding using new and salvaged materials. The north-south range is early 20th century. See report for detail (B2).
