Description

Cropmark traces of a large rectilinear enclosure of Iron Age or Roman date were seen centred at SP 9052 2233. Three sides (northern, eastern and southern) and two curved corners are visible, the western side is lost at the edge of the modern field. There are further faint cropmarks of ditches to the north-east which may be further enclosures. These features were seen on aerial photographs taken by English Heritage in July 2006 (1).
