Possible Medieval settlement earthworks visible as rectilinear platform overlain by the earthwork remains of Medieval ridge and furrow on the northern edge of the modern linear village of Grendon Underwood. These features can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 2006 by English Heritage as part of the Reconnaissance Recording programme.

Description

Possible Medieval settlement earthworks visible as rectilinear platform overlain and post-dated by the earthwork remains of Medieval ridge and furrow seen at SP 6828 2080 on the northern edge of the modern linear village of Grendon Underwood. The earthwork remains of ridge and furrow can be seen extending throughout numberous field to the north of the village. These features can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 2006 by English Heritage as part of the Reconnaissance Recording programme (1).
