Description

Possible post medieval water meadows, or land improvement works, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs in Fleet Marston, centred approximately at SP 77759 15228. The banks and ditches forming the possible water meadow system are oriented south west-north east and north west-south east. The earthworks are visible over an area measuring approximately 960 m by 590 m, but may continue further to the south. These features were recorded from EH Reconnaissance aerial photographs of 2012 (1).
This record includes National Record of the Historic Environment Information provided by Historic England on 4 June 2025 licensed under the Open Government Licence (2).
Recorded as pre-18th century irregular enclosure and 19th century enclosure from open fields in Bucks HLC.
