Description

Slight earthworks of a possible Bronze Age round barrow at Ivinghoe Beacon at SP 96192 16876 which appears as an arc of bank and ditch defining the northern side of a possible barrow. The centre and southern portion is cut by the course of a wide trackway. The site is located between the eastern entrance of the earthwork enclosure on Beacon Hill and a large scheduled extant bowl barrow (List entry 1009549). Visible on aerial photographs taken in 2009 as part of the Historic England Aerial Reconnaissance programme (1).
