Description
SU 944846 (approx) Palaeolithic implements found at Cooper's Pit, East Burnham, comprise: 22 handaxes, and 2 retouched and 2 unretouched flakes. Distribution: London Univ Inst Arch and the Ashmolean, Oxford University and Reading Museums (B1).
Cooper's Pit, SU 945843, was sometimes known as Bond's Pit (B2).
Cooper's Pit, now refilled, was centred at SU 94608422 according to Mr G Pusey, a resident of the area for forty years. No further finds and no further information (B3 and 4).
