Description

A Neolithic polished flint axe and ? Neolithic flint implement (chopper), with cortex at one end; from Thames between Maidenhead Bridge and Boulder's Lock. Found in June, 1954.
Acc. Nos. 32 : 54 and 33 : 54 respectively. On loan to Reading Museum (B1).

Mesolithic tranchet axe found between Boulters Lock and Maidenhead Bridge. Now in Reading Museum (B2).
