Description
A circular mound of uncertain data and function is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located about 1,270 metres NW of Folly Farm and centred at SP 478240 219709, a circular mound is about 27 metres in diameter. The mound is sited within a large block of medieval or post medieval ridge and furrow and aerial photographs taken in 1947 possibly suggest that the mound lies under the cultivation earthworks, though it is not entirely clear from the available images. On recent remote sensing data, the mound remains visible as a low earthwork (1-2).
