Description

Plot boundaries of medieval/post medieval date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and were mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located north of Lower Green Lane, Chearsley, and centred at SP 72128 10554. These boundaries are south of the extent of ridge and furrow field systems in the parish and are north of the edge of the village, north of Lower Green Lane, where small irregular shaped parcels of orchard can be seen on historic mapping. This may have been part of the settlement of Chearsley, which is nucleated around a network of lanes. (1-2)
