Description

Ditches or trackways of medieval/post medieval date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and were mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located at the south eastern end of the village of Chearsley and centred at SP 72218 10276. The trackways are between the Chearsley House and the River Thame where a foot bridge is shown on the Ordnance Survey Epoch 1 mapping. They are located north of the moated sited at the southern end of the village.(1-2)
