Description

Subrectangular enclosures of or uncertain date are visible on historic aerial photographs as extant cropmarks and were mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located north of the village, Chearsley and centred at SP 72136 10817. The enclosures are not complete and may be composites of multiple features of different ages, there are no concentrations of finds to help with identifying these features. Ridge and furrow is recorded across the site but only visible as cropmarks in the 1940s and no trace is present on lidar visualisations. This is in common with other sites in Buckinghamshire where cropmarks have been mapped as part of this project. (1
