Description

Drainage ditches of probable post medieval/modern date are visible on historic aerial photographs and/or remote sensing data) as extant earthworks and were mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located in Chearsley Furze, Chearsley, and centred at SP 70996 12086. The area is wooded from the Ordnance Survey Epoch 1 mapping onwards and ridge and furrow can be seen all through the woodland on lidar visualisations. The ditches are not shown on the historic mapping and cannot be seen for the tree cover but the lidar visualisations show the ditches clearly. (1-2)
