Description

A network of drainage ditches of probable post medieval date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located on the west side of the River Thame, Chearsley, and centred at SP 72115 09561. This network of ditches runs mainly north-south and joins the River Thame at the southern end. It appears to run under the railway, opened in 1906, across the flood plain of the River Thame. (1-2)
