Description
An area of probable coprolite extraction of post medieval date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and soilmarks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located approximately 380m east of Moreton Farm, Dinton-with-Ford and Upton, and centred at SP 79376 09443. Pale soilmarks can be seen in an arable field on aerial photographs and uneven ground shows on lidar visualisations. Modern land use is arable. The underlying solid geology is Gault Formation Mudstone. This one of a line of extraction sites between the site of Little Marsh Farm, Great and Little Kimble cum Marsh, and Ford, Dinton with Ford and Upton, inside the project area. (1-2)
