Description
A post medieval drainage ditch is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthwork and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located in fields on the NW facing bank of the River Thame and centred at SP 79293 15100, a sinuous ditch up to 3.5 metres wide extends about 492 metres from Stone Bridge SW to the railway line at Haydon Hill. On aerial photographs taken in 2023 and recent remote sensing data, the ditch remains visible (1- 4).
