Description

A circular mound is visible on remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located on a field boundary about 135 metres NW of Manor Farm and centred at SP 76509 22231, a slightly subcircular mound is about 21.7 metres in diameter at its widest. The mound is just 40 metres W of two medieval and/or post medieval windmill mounds (Bucks HER No MBC3940 / 0132600000 and MBC3941/0132700000). It is therefore probable that this is also a windmill mound. On aerial photographs taken in 2010 and recent remote sensing data, the earthwork remains extant (1-3 ).
