Description
An area of possible shrunken settlement of probable medieval date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located at the south eastern end of Bishopstone, Stone with Bishopstone and Hartwell, and centred at SP 80730 10036. Possible plot boundaries and building platforms are visible in a pasture field on the north side of a watercourse. No historic mapping shows any buildings or boundaries on this site. (1-3)
