Description

Drainage ditches of probable post medieval date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and were mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located approximately 500m north of Aston Sandford, in Haddenham and Dinton-with-Ford and Upton, and centred at SP 75653 08371. These drainage ditches are on the floodplain of Cuttle Brook, which has been managed and straightened compared to what shows on historic mapping and the course of the palaeochannels visible as earthworks on lidar visualisations.
