Description

Trial trench evaluation identified Iron Age to Roman, and some undated, pits and ditches, and two parallel ditches forming a track or drove road. Earlier geophysics survey identified 110m of the trackway (B1). A ditch between the two trackway ditches may indicate an earlier phase of the trackway. The low number of finds from the features identified suggest the trackway was not near to a settlement location (B2).
