Description

Medieval and/or post medieval field boundary, banks and ditches are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and were mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located in a field immediately N of Grange Farm and centred at SP 73526 20973, a curvilinear earthwork bank up to 10 metres wide extends 26 metres W-E and then curves to NNW for a further 144 metres. A narrow ditch flanks the outside of the curving bank. To the W of the bank a sinuous ditch forms a field boundary that extends N where a further linear bank about 8 metres wide extends 91 metres WNW-ESE (1-6).
