Description
Two post medieval extractive pits are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and were mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located about 460 metres SE of Hogshaw Hill Farm on Conduit Hill and centred at SP 74902 21851, the two irregularly shaped pits are almost contiguous and cover an area of about 1,155 and 184 square metres (1-2).
