Description

Roman and medieval ditches identified during trial trench evaluation. The ditches possibly forming field boundaries aligned with the Icknield Way. Some of the ditches have multiple recuts suggesting prolonged use. The Roman pottery provided a general Roman date, but the medieval pottery suggests the site was in use from the 12th to 14th centuries (B1).
