Description

Drainage ditches of medieval/post medieval date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and were mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located to the south of the village of Bishopstone, Stone with Bishopstone with Hartwell, and centred at SP 80391 10084. These ditches extend from and surround earthworks of ridge and furrow outside the settlement at Bishopstone. All the earthworks remain clearly visible on lidar visualisations. (1-2)
