Description

A circular mound of uncertain date and function is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as a very low earthwork and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located in a field corner about 180 metres NW of Thistlebrook Farm and centred at SP 87224 17696, a circular mound is about 12.5 metres in diameter. The mound is located adjacent a block of medieval and/or post-medieval ridge and furrow cultivation (1-2).
