Description

Post medieval drainage ditches are visible on historic aerial photograph as earthworks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located along meadows W of Bridge Farm flanking the north bank of the River Thame and centred at SP 83814 17646, a sinuous ditch up to 2 metres wide extends W-E in 2 sections for about 1, 170 metres. At the W end, a ditch branches off the main drain across the meadow and runs parallel for about 230 metres. On aerial photographs taken 2023 and recent remote sensing data, the earthworks remain visible (1-4).
