A trapezoidal ditched enclosure of probable Iron Age and/or Roman date is visible on aerial photographs as cropmarks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located in a field about 300 metres W of Barnett House and centred at SP 83368 15839, a trapezoidal ditch up to 1.5 metres wide encloses an internal area about 34 metres NNW-SSE x 30 metres WSW-ENE at its widest points. One small circular pit lies just outside the enclosure ditch and one within. To the S of this is a number of fragmentary linear ditches aligned SW-NE or SE-NW and a cluster of 6 circular pits and maculae of uncertain date and function. It is unclear whether the ditches and pits are associated with the enclosure (3).
