Description
A medieval field boundary is visible on historic aerial photographs as cropmarks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located in a field about 650 metres WNW of Creslow village Holy Trinity Church and centred at SP 80482 22109, a curving double ditch spaced about 3 metres apart extends about 185 metres N-SSE. The ditches’ course link to an extant medieval field boundary course some 60 metres to the SSE and matched a field boundary shown on the 1813 Ordnance Surveyors Drawing, though no on any subsequent historic OS Map Editions (1-3).
