Description

Open field strips shown on 1591 All Souls College estate map. Poorly-preserved earthwork remains of ridge and furrow aligned NW-SE recorded to SE of the prominent platform in earthwork survey carried out in April 2007 by Souterrain Archaeological Services. Surviving furrow widths were about 10-12m wide, ridges about 5-6m wide and there was an average measurement of about 0.4m between the base of furrows and the crest of ridges.
