ONLY 1 WALL-PAINTING REMAINS IN THE HOUSE, A CURIOUS ARMORIAL DEVICE, IN BLACK & RED, OF THE RAGGED STAFF, WITH 2 BEARS WITHIN A GARTER ON WHICH IS THE ROYAL MOTTO, & SURMOUNTED WITH A CORONET; BENEATH ARE THE INITIALS E.B.(ILLUS)(B6).
