Description

Ditches and banks of probable medieval/post medieval date are visible on remote sensing data as extant earthworks and were mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located in Halton Wood, Aston Clinton, and centred at SP 88541 10216. These linear banks and ditches run across the slope of the Chilterns and are probably former trackways or boundaries; there are many similar features within the woodland. They are not shown on historic mapping and are not visible on aerial photographs because the landuse is woodland. (1-3)
